Mr. Fernandez joined Vertex Education in 2019. Prior to joining Vertex Education, Mr. Fernandez was Vice President of Human Resources at American Vision Partners, one of the nation’s largest comprehensive ophthalmology providers where he led all Human Resources functions. He has more than twenty years’ experience in HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and benefits. During his career, Mr. Fernandez has held HR leadership roles at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Arizona Public Service (APS), MFS Investment Management, The Home Depot, and America West Airlines. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration / Human Resources from the University of New Mexico.
