Vertex Education’s co-founder, Aaron Hale, spent several years working for a Fortune 100 firm in a variety of roles focused on information systems and process improvement. Since starting the first Legacy Traditional School in Maricopa, Arizona, Aaron has been instrumental in the growth of the network from a single school to a network of 19 K-8 schools and three preschools in Arizona and Nevada. In 2017, Aaron was named a 40 under 40 by the Phoenix Business Journal, and is a board member of the Arizona Charter Schools Association. He earned his B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems, as well as his MBA and MIM from Arizona State University.
Co-founder, Becky Hale, has a passion for education and the good it can accomplish. Becky has extensive experience in childcare and development. As a parent, she knows that when a child understands their own self-worth, they can succeed at anything they put their mind to. In fact, the participation of the Hale children in the refinement of the Legacy Traditional School curriculum has been one element that has added to the schools’ success. Becky has a bachelor’s degree in History from Charter Oak State College in Connecticut.
Brandon Jones joined Vertex in July of 2014 as the Chief Development Officer and was promoted to President and CEO in 2015. Prior to joining Vertex, he served for five years as Assistant Vice President of Corporate Real Estate for Education Management Corporation (EDMC), a publicly held network of colleges and universities. In that role, Brandon oversaw the strategic growth and management of new college campuses nationwide. He began his career as a business analyst with Intel Corporation and subsequently spent the next seven years growing businesses and developing commercial real estate before joining EDMC. His passion is changing people’s lives through education. Brandon graduated cum laude with a Master of Information Systems Management (techno-MBA) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Finance, both from Brigham Young University.
